Why Do I Have Dark Purple Under My Eyes?

November 9, 2019

There are a few reasons why we can get purple discoloration under eyes. A few triggers are:

-Allergies

-Iron Deficiency

-Dehydration

-Lack of Sleep

-Sinus Issues

-Adrenal Fatigue

We can do a lot of foot work at home. For allergies, pay attention to what make mucous in the back of your throat and then avoid that food. Pay yourself $500 for doing such a good Allergy Test. Another way to test for allergies is the Pulse Test. I'd buy a pulse oximeter for around $20 to make it easier to track what your pulse is doing. It's easy. You can read about it here: https://naturalhealthtechniques.com/pulse-testing-for-allergies/

Tip: There are also homeopathic solutions if you really want to fix it on a deep level. See a certified homeopath for that. There are mixed remedies than can help with symptoms caused by allergies such as Sabadil Allergy by Boiron.

Iron deficiency- Okay, that can get complicated. Go to your doctor to pinpoint the cause. If it's from a diet that is low in iron then you can eat foods that provide iron. There are two forms of dietary iron: heme and nonheme. Heme iron is derived from hemoglobin. It is found in animal foods that originally contained hemoglobin, such as red meats, fish, and poultry (meat, poultry, and seafood contain both heme and non-heme iron). Your body absorbs the most iron from heme sources. Most nonheme iron is from plant sources. Make sure to have foods that contain vitamin C in them, too. Vitamin C helps your body utilize iron.

Tip: One can, also, use the cell salt #4 Ferrum Phos as it is a highly absorbable form of iron.

Dehydration- It helps to not drink things that dehydrate us like coffee, tea and alcohol. Do drink water and coconut water. Sometimes, it helps to drink water that is warmed up a bit. Some people enjoy water, a lot more, if they put slices of fresh cucumbers in the water or lemon slices. It really does taste a lot better. I don't have any  science behind this, but I like to think it helps restructure the water since most of our water is coming from water towers that have cell phone emitters (so insane) welded onto them. Also, put how much water you want to drink by the end of a day in a pitcher or Mason jar, or what have you, so it is easy to remember and then, what's really great is to, actually drink it.

Tip: To help you hydrate add cell salt Nat Mur 6x 2, 4 pellets per quart of water.

Lack of sleep- unplug wifi. Don't sleep with your phone in the bedroom. Make sure the Smart Meter is not on the other side of your sleeping wall. Use Blue-Blocker glasses. Avoid caffeine and evening screen time. Avoid big meals before eating. You can find a lot on the web about blue light. I did a quick search and found this easy to read and understand website page: https://www.mamanatural.com/blue-light-blocking-glasses/

Those are a few ideas to help with sleep.

Tip: Can't turn mind off? racing thoughts? Try homeopathic Coffea Cruda 30c. May repeat in 15 to 30 minutes if needed. Children who can't sleep who may be teething or growing could benefit from the cell salt Calc Phos 6x.

Sinus issues- this can tie into allergies, for sure. Some people find using Netti Pots useful to irrigate the sinuses. Certain homeopathic remedies can help with sinus issues. Here is an article on how you can help yourself with homeopathic remedies: https://www.homeopathycenter.org/homeopathy-today/sinusitis-how-you-can-help-yourself

If you get stuck, make an appointment with your homeopath.

Tip: Homeopathic Sanguinaria 200c twice a day. Boiron makes a great remedy called Sinusalia for sinus issues.

Adrenal fatigue- It's a big subject and sometimes it can be easy to fix and sometimes it can be more involved. See your health care provider to get to the bottom of it. It could be the minerals are off. It could be cortisol levels are off. Save yourself time and money and get to the root cause. Manage stress, get sleep, eat real food that is not toxic. These things can help. There are adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea, schisandra and holy basil that may be supportive.

Tip: Homeopathic Phosphoric acid 6c twice daily might help or the cell salt Kali phos 6x per label instructions. Kali Phos is a mineral tonic for exhaustion and brain fog. Licorice tea also supports the adrenals as does flax seed oil. Avoid licorice if you have high blood pressure. Consequently, if you get out of bed and your blood pressure drops then Licorice could be helpful for this.
